SDK: Integration into your app
The LiveVoice SDK allows you to integrate listening and subtitle capabilities into your own event app.
These features are provided:
- Join an event and display its channels anywhere in your app. You can choose which channels should be displayed dynamically, when your app is running.
- The SDK gives you the capability to play audio channels and display subtitles.
- The SDK is only available for the listener client. For speaker (sender) capabilities you will need to use the LiveVoice app or browser interface.
- Available for iOS and Android.
The following SDK options are available:
Standard SDK | You can integrate LiveVoice audio channels with the same look and feel as the LiveVoice app (listener view). |
White label option | LiveVoice logo will not be displayed below the audio channels. |
Customization option | You can customize the look and feel any way you want. For example you can create your own play buttons or channel list design. |
Integrating the SDK into your project:
The SDK supports being integrated using Swift for iOS, Kotlin for Android, and TypeScript for React Native cross-platform apps.
You can find platform specific instructions on how to integrate the SDK here:
Examples for all platforms are provided in the livevoice-sdk-examples repository on GitHub.
The examples contain an API key for a demo event, so you can test the SDK without your own API key.
You can test the integration with the "demo" event, within your own apps.
Note: Subtitles are always displayed with a customised design, even when using the Standard SDK.
Requirements
The SDK is available for
- iOS (15+)
- Android (6.0+)
- React Native (0.76+)
