Handover: Switching between speakers
Especially for simultaneous interpretation, you might want to have two or more people take turns to speak. In this case, they can easily take over the channel, without interruption for the listeners.
Handover works in both directions:
1) If you are the active speaker, you can "request a handover" to the other speaker. The other person will be notified and can accept or decline.
2) If you are the inactive speaker, you can force "take over" the channel if necessary.
Good to know: While the other person is speaking, the inactive interpreter can listen to the channel.
